Jay Briscoe was killed in an automobile crash on the evening of Tuesday, January 17. No one knows much about the incident other than that it took place in Laurel, Delaware, and that Jay and another person were killed.

Fans recognized him as Jay Briscoe from ROH's inception until today. To this day, Jay & his brother Mark are still the undisputed champions of ROH. We'll help out his loved ones in every way we can. Jamin, I pray for your peace.”
At the same time, professional wrestler DIJAK penned, “Jay Briscoe was an exceptional person who deeply cared for his loved ones. Seriously, a lot. They had made him so proud that he wanted to burst. My buddy, I pray that you find eternal rest in the arms of the Lord.”

A second wrestler, Brandi Rhodes, shared his sentiments on Twitter: “Upon hearing of Jay Briscoe's passing, my heart sank. Throughout my time in ROH, he was the sweetest person I met.
