He was, in her words, “the funniest, hardest working, most passionate artist I have ever worked with.” She added that Flint passed away on Saturday (Nov. 26), only hours after his wedding, which was posted on his Facebook page.

Who was Jake Flint?
Jake Flint, an Oklahoma native who came into the world in Mounds in 1985, spent his formative years in the Holdenville oil fields to the east of Oklahoma City. Jake Flint's father was a wildcat oilman, and he introduced his kid to the greats of rock, country, and songwriting. As a result, Jake became a musical prodigy and an inspiration to many Red Dirt musicians.
Jake's father first got him into John Denver, Dire Straits, John Prine, and Townes Van Zandt, while his sister was the one who turned him on to Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
What Has Happened With Jake Flint?
According to his wife and manager, Oklahoma-based Red Dirt country performer Jake Flint has passed away at the age of 37. Sadly, he passed away on Saturday, only hours after his wedding (November 26).
The manager at Flint wrote a heartfelt Facebook obituary for the client and buddy. Specifically, Brenda Cline. She remarked, “It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that I must inform you of the passing of Jake Flint.” I tried posting multiple times today, but it's impossible to provide feedback on a topic you don't really grasp.
What was Jake Flint Cause of Death?
The Oklahoman reports that investigators have not yet established what killed Jake. Many of Jake's friends and coworkers are already paying tribute to him, even as his loved ones try to make sense of what occurred. Mike Hosty, a one-man band who performed at Jake's wedding, remarked, “He was a singer-songwriter, through and through, and just a big personality, a big heart, and would bend over backward to do anything for you.”
He continued, “When any musician invites you to play at their wedding, it's one of the most important days… and it's always an honor.
Clif Doyal, Jake's publicist, also shared his sadness, adding that Jake was a significant ambassador to the Oklahoma Red Dirt music scene.
He was a client, a buddy, and a “very wonderful guy,” as Clif put it. “His popularity was demonstrated by the outpouring of affection expressed for him online. To a large extent, I attribute this to his innate sociability and hilarious bon vivant nature. When he entered a room, he instantly brightened the mood and made everyone feel at ease.”
As Clif mentioned, other musicians from Oklahoma have also paid respect to Jake and the music he left behind. Those closest to him will have to deal with the shock of his sudden death, but the details of what led to his untimely demise may not be known for some time. His legacy of care and love, as well as the songs he left behind, will have to hold people over till then.
