U.S. professional basketball player Paul Pierce has retired. McDonald's recognized him as a high school All-American. After that, in his junior year at Kansas, he was selected for the All-first America team.
After being fired from his role as a studio pundit at ESPN, Paul Pierce made headlines this week for all the wrong reasons. His name started popping up in the media after he shared an Instagram Live video of himself partying with two exotic dancers. This has led many of his fans to wonder about his private life, especially his marital status.
Is Paul Pierce Married?
At the moment, Paul Pierce and Julie Landrum are married. Julie, a 38-year-old interior designer, attended the Fashion Institute of Technology & earned a degree in fashion buying & merchandising.
Julie is a native Missourian, having grown up in the city of Saint Louis. She attended the New York School of Interior Design for her undergraduate degree, and then the Rhode Island School of Design for her master's in furniture design.
Julie started her interior design business in 2009 and has since completed projects for the homes of several American and Canadian politicians and professional athletes. She has previously been recognized by Elle Décor as an A-List Designer.
When Did They Start Dating?
Paul and Julie have been together since 2005. As a fellow member of the Celtics, Pierce was also involved. A Boston.com interview saw Paul gushing over his girlfriend and their love. He praised his friend as “an outstanding woman.”
He said, “She's an amazing woman, We get along so well because we were such good friends,” when he was first asked about her. We started going together… We ended up moving in together the next thing I knew. Oh my God, we hit it off; we linked instantly.
Paul and Julie got married in Newport Coast, California, at the Resort at Pelican Hill in 2010. There were maybe 80 people there. Currently, the couple has three children and shares parental responsibilities.

Daughter Prianna Lee Pierce was born to them on April 4, 2008. At Paul and Julie's wedding, she was the flower girl. They welcomed their first son, Prince Paul Pierce, on January 1, 2013, and their second daughter, Adrian Tanya Pierce, in 2011.
Paul Pierce's Career as a Basketball Player
He was the tenth overall pick in the 1998 NBA draught. After being picked by the Boston Celtics, he spent the next 15 years of his life playing professional basketball for them. Ten times he was selected for the All-Star Game.
He led Boston to the NBA Finals in 2008 and again in 2010, with the former year culminating in a title. After making his NBA Finals debut in 2008, he was recognized as the best player in the series.
Pierce has joined Larry Bird and John Havlicek as the only Celtics to score over 20,000 points in their careers. As the Celtics' all-time leader in three-point field goals, Pierce has 166 to his name.
He is third on the team's all-time list for games played, second in points scored, seventh in rebounds, fifth in assists, and first in stolen bases. During the Lakers' 112-107 victory over the Celtics on March 13, 2001, Pierce scored 42 points on 13 of 19 shooting, earning the nickname “The Truth” from Shaquille O'Neal.
In July 2013, the Nets acquired Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Terry in a blockbuster trade. His twelve seasons in the NBA all began with the Nets and concluded with the Wizards. He retired at the conclusion of the 2018 season after playing for the Los Angeles Clippers for three years.
Pierce was attacked with 11 knife cuts to the face, neck, and back on September 25, 2000, at the Buzz nightclub in the Boston Theater District. He also had a bottle broken over his head.

In an effort to preserve his life, surgeons at the hospital performed surgery on his lungs. Attempting to end the fight, Pierce was stabbed, according to witnesses. In August 2017, Paul became an analyst for ESPN's studio broadcasts.
In April of 2021, ESPN terminated his employment because he had posted an Instagram video of two ladies in which they were both partially undressed.
