The story will take up with the Lamberts ten years after the conclusion of the first film when Dalton is just starting college. After that, the family relocated to a brand-new home. This was once the residence of a woman whose husband put her to death after she discovered his devious plans for the house.

Who Is Behind the Making of Insidious 5: Fear the Dark?

Insidious: Fear the Dark marks the directorial debut of actor Patrick Wilson. While this will be the first time spectators have seen his directing chops, it's evident that he has the approval of producers Jason Blum and James Wan.

Thus far, the film has been produced by Blum and Wan, the director of the first two Insidious films, and Leigh Whannell, the series co-creator and co-writer. Scott Teems, who previously worked with Whannell on Halloween Kills, also contributed to the script.

Across the board, people are lovers of Blumhouse's terrifying movies like The Purge, Paranormal Activity, and Get Out. Given the caliber of its cast and team, it seems unlikely that Insidious: Fear the Dark will fall flat.
