I Know What You Did Last Summer is coming soon

I Know What You Did Last Summer is an adolescent horror television series set in the United States that is based on Lois Duncan's 1973 novel of the same name. The series' development was confirmed by Amazon Studios in 2019, with executive producers Neal H. Moritz and James Wan. In October 2020, it was given a straight-to-series order. Filming began in January 2021 on the island of Oahu.

What the series is All About?

Welcome to Spooky Season! Screamers are being remade just in time for Halloween, with pumpkin-spice lattes aplenty, decorative gourds aplenty, and slashers being remade just in time for Halloween. The I Know What You Did Last Summer series, which premieres on Amazon on October 15, has 100 percent more women kissing each other than the last instalment.

I Know What You Did Last Summer, based on both the 1997 slasher and the Lois Duncan YA novel, will once again follow a group of teens who are hunted by a killer who knows what they did l'été dernier, as the French say. The sultry teenagers pretend to kill a man in a hit-and-run and swear to carry it to their graves.

The killer then pushes up the deadline for them to be buried. Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Brianne Tju (Light As a Feather), Ezekiel Goodman, and Ashley Moore feature in Amazon's series (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping).

The Filming of the series

The series is based on the original novel and the 1997 film adaptation of the same name, and follows a group of friends who are hunted by a vicious killer one year after covering up a car accident in which they killed someone. Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, and Sebastian Amoruso lead an ensemble cast that also includes Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom, and Bill Heck.

Amazon Studios announced on July 26, 2019, that it would develop a television series based on Lois Duncan's 1973 novel I Know What You Did Last Summer, with Original Film's Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty serving as executive producers, James Wan directing, and Shay Hatten writing the pilot.  On October 14, 2020, Amazon ordered the idea as a series, and Sara Goodman was announced as Hatten's replacement as the show's writer. Along with Erik Feig of Original Film and Rob Hackett, Michael Clear, and Wan of Atomic Monster, Goodman and Hatten will serve as executive producers for the series. Craig William Macneill was announced on December 9, 2020.

Release Date of I Know What You Did Last Summer

The series will start on Amazon Prime Video on October 15, 2021, with the first four episodes available immediately and the remaining episodes arriving regularly.

A trailer for the upcoming series has been released! The adolescents go off for a wild graduation celebration, with Olivia Rodrigo's ‘Brutal' as the music, giving us a glimpse of the mystery to come, before things take a tragic turn later in the night. They get a weird text that says “I'm coming 4 u” after a wild night, some steamy snogs, and a car accident. Yes, we're afraid already.
