What was supposed to be a pleasant and innocent day for Beauty turns into a full-fledged war between Valencia and Dineo. With Beauty believing that Christmas is officially cursed, Valencia and Dineo must put aside their differences in order to rescue Christmas for their children.

In the second season, for the holidays, Tumi goes back to his hometown to spend time with his grandfather, Gogo Twala. Gogo Twala dies while they are on an adventure together, which is sad. As the family tries to come to terms with the sudden death, they get very mad at Tumi.

As everyone gets ready for the funeral, disagreements about what to do next start to show. Tumi also tries to handle her relationship with Khaya, and she and Khaya realize that they still have a lot of problems to work out. Beauty and Sbu, on the other hand, try to have a quiet first year of marriage in London.
Because the Twala family is getting more and more wealthy, Sbu’s father is accused of corruption. This puts the whole family in legal trouble. Tumi and Khaya decide to split up at the end of Season 1, while Sbu uses his skills to help his family get out of a tough situation.
Gogo Twala’s family can now say goodbye to her in peace, as she asked. In the most important parts of the story, Tumi goes on vacation without Khaya and makes eye contact with a handsome stranger on the plane as she leaves.
