Demon Slayer features a lot of fan favorites, which makes sense for such a successful series. While the core characters of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke receive the majority of the love, Hashira also receives some.
Shinobu Kocho is one of these Hashiras, revered by admirers for her pleasant demeanor and lethal poison skills. While she may not be as physically threatening as the other Demon Slayer Hashiras, she surely possesses the requisite talents to hold the title.
Because of her devotion, many fans have questioned her status at the end of Demon Slayer.
How did Shinobu Die?
During the Infinity Castle arc of Demon Slayer, Shinobu Kocho faces her sister's killer, Doma. Doma is the Upper Moon Rank Two demon of the Twelve Kizuki, second only to Kokushibo and Muzan.
As the conflict begins, Shinobu appears to be devouring Doma's female followers. Shinobu attempts to save one of the followers, but it is too late; she dies in her arms. Shinobu becomes enraged after approaching Doma about her sister and having Doma insult her death.
Shinobu then stabs Doma in the left eye to prevent a demon assault. Doma learns Shinobu is the rumored poison specialist after the two exchange acts and words. Shinobu is dissatisfied. Doma prepares himself for her poison following her struggle with Rui's sister, and as a consequence, Doma can render her poison non-lethal.

Shinobu's poison is not only neutralized, but it also begins to heal Doma once sufficiently broken down. Shinobu hopes that by injecting Doma with a large enough dosage of poison, he will be unable to break it down. Shinobu manages to hit him, but her ribs and collarbone are cut, and her lung is pierced.
Shinobu gathers all of his might for one final assault, effectively stabbing Doma in the neck with a poison strike. Shinobu joyously relaxes as Doma appears to be dying from the poison. Doma, on the other hand, recovers swiftly and bear-hugs Hashira, absorbing her anguish.
