Shakira Gatlin's father died in September, according to Robinson's social media posting. The circumstances of his death are unknown.

According to Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart, Shakira Gatlin was shot while a loaded gun was being mishandled in her presence.
A juvenile guy has since been questioned in connection with Gatline's death. According to WLBT, he told officials that the shooting was unintentional.

DD4L is based in the Jackson region at the Dollhouse Dance Factory. Ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and majorette are among the dance disciplines available at the company's locations in Jackson and Birmingham.
The dance team was founded in 2001 by coach Dianna “Miss D” Williams and is the subject of the TV show Bring It! The show follows them as they practice to compete in hip-hop majorette competitions against teams such as the Divas of Olive Branch and the Prancing Tigerettes.
