In the intricate and often brutal world of Naruto, characters face numerous challenges and adversities. One such character, Kimimaro, stands out for his unwavering loyalty and unique abilities.
The only member of the Kaguya clan to survive was Kimimaro, an adversary and the head of the Sound Five (Hidden Sound Shinobi Five People).
Because of his uncommon Kekkei Genkai, Shikotsumyaku, Kimimaro's own clan was afraid of him and kept him in a cage unless he was needed for combat. He eventually became a member of Orochimaru's team and committed his life to achieving his goals.
His tragic demise is a poignant moment in the series, and understanding the circumstances surrounding his death sheds light on the complexities of the Naruto universe.
Who Is Kimimaro?
Being a rare possessor of his clan's Shikotsumyaku kekkei genkai, the clan patriarch feared Kimimaro's abilities and kept him imprisoned unless he was needed for battle.
The Kaguya clan was exterminated when they assaulted Kirigakure, apparently for no other reason than to slay and show off their brutality. After misjudging their opponents' defenses, they massacred them; Kimimaro was the only one who survived.
Kimimaru wandered for a short while before Orochimaru found him and picked him as one of his most loyal ninjas.
Under Orochimaru, Kimimaro found purpose in life as he worked to ensure the realization of his master's ambitions and aims. Despite Orochimaru having taken him under his wing and becoming one of his future hosts, Kimimaro did not mind such a fate if it meant aiding his master.
Not long later, Kimimaro met Jūgo, another berserker, and they clicked right away. The circumstances up to Kimimaro's marking with the cursed seal that Orochimaru fashioned from his Jōgo research This occurred after their connection with Jūgo led Kimimaro to persuade him to participate in experiments in the hopes that they would be beneficial to him.
Kimimaro used his newly acquired skills to defeat all four of the Sound Four on his own, becoming the first member of the newly named Sound Five. But Kimimaru fell ill with an unknown illness that made him useless to Orochimaru. Kabuto Yakushi attempted to heal him but was unable to do so because of his unique physique and the lack of medical expertise within his tribe.
Because he was unable to participate in the Konoha Crush, which Kabuto claimed was the cause of their defeat and withdrawal, Kimimaro was compelled to stay in bed in order to extend his declining life. It was discovered that Kimimaro commanded Shinobi clans in the Land of Sound, including the Fūma clan, as a herald, convincing them to swear loyalty to Orochimaru.
After the Sound Five broke into Konoha during the Chūnin Exams to allow Orochimaru to pass for Shiore, they killed three Kusagakure genin. He gave a bloody cough at this point, but he ignored it. But when Kimimaro participates in the killing of the Fourth Kazekage and his bodyguards so Orochimaru and the Sound Four can pretend to be them, it becomes abundantly clear how sick he is.
Kabuto sends him back to Otogakure (the village hidden in the sound), where he undergoes severe medical care in an effort to prolong his life. When Kimimaro found out that Orochimaru could no longer use him because of his failing health, he began to cry quietly to himself.
How Did Kimimaro Die?
Gaara's mockery of Kimimaro's loyalty to Orochimaru after he was buried 200 meters below, where the pressure might shatter steel, causes him to lose concentration. Nevertheless, Gaara and Lee narrowly avoided the battlefield turning into a forest of bones because of Kimimaro's last dance, which depleted the former's chakra reserves.
They succeeded in clinging to a small sand cloud, but Kimimaro, enraged by Orochimaru's denigration, came up from one of the bones and readied himself to tear the two to pieces.
