In the first episode of season 4, he was found asleep and taken to the hospital, where it was found that he had broken several bones. After starting to get better, he was finally able to leave the hospital, but not before John confronted him about breaking his word.
Jimmy isn't going to be kicked out, though, so the strict but fair father takes a more peaceful attitude. Jimmy is moved to the 6666 in Texas so he can attend rodeos, which is his dream.
