The 48-year-old had various interests, including a lifetime love of graffiti art, pets, and motorcycles. Before his terrible death, he only appeared in one episode of Families of the Mafia.
Fans of the program are curious: what happened to the star?
Who Was Billy O'Toole?
Billy's father was the mafia boss, William Sheehan. He became involved in organized crime at a young age, acquiring the moniker “Wild Bill.”
Billy and his first wife, Jess Clare, had three children: Matthew, Joseph, and Taylor. He also left behind his wife Renee O'Toole, four grandchildren, and his children Lyric Antonio, William, Michael, and Laila.
According to a recent episode of Families of the Mafia, his family members recall Billy as the life of the party, someone who never missed an opportunity to brighten up others.
In addition to his love for graffiti and riding around on his motorcycle, he served as a New York State chaplain, helping veterans in need. He became involved with the charity after the death of his father, William, who participated in the Korean War.
Taylor and Joe have already starred in Made in Staten Island, a controversial reality television show that sheds new light on the generational split between middle-aged ex-mafia members and their children.
Unfortunately for viewers, the show was discontinued after only a few episodes. According to several critics, Made in Staten Island promoted a one-sided image of what everyday living in Staten Island entails, prompting MTV to reconsider its initial decision and cancel the show entirely.
Unlike Made in Staten Island, Families of the Mafia features more interview fragments and confessionals. It provides a more genuine, candid representation of how stars like Dennie Augustine, Sammy Gravano, and Joe O'Toole go about their daily lives.
