Do You Want to Know the Premiere Date of Heels Season 2

‘Heels' has proven to be one of the most pleasant shocks on television thus far this year. As two brothers who compete in their father's wrestling company in Georgia and deal with all of the drama that ensues, Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig appear in Starz's wrestling-themed drama, which was conceived by “Loki” head writer Michael Waldron.

The show received a 96 percent certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating that it was well received by critics. In addition, it was soon renewed for a second season.

Heels Season 2

According to the early indications, Starz has discovered another smash to go along with other shows such as the historical romance “Outlander” and its sequel series, “Power Book II: Ghost,” and who knows — maybe this series will be nominated for an Emmy next year. Since the Season 1 finale, which aired on October 10, 2021, fans have been screaming for more of the Spade family's tale to be told in the second season. “Heels” is returning for a second season, and here's everything we know so far about the upcoming season.

Is There a Cast for Heels Season 2?

In Season 2, series stars Amell and Ludwig will reprise their roles of brothers Jack and Ace Spade, which they first played in Season 1. Amell first gained national attention for his portrayal of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in the CW series “Arrow,” while Ludwig has appeared in films and television programmes such as “The Hunger Games,” “Bad Boys,” and “Vikings.”

Alison Luff will reprise her role as Staci Spade, Mary McCormack will reprise her role as Willie Day, Kelli Berglund will reprise her role as Crystal Tyler, Allen Maldonado will reprise his role as Rooster Robbins, James Harrison will reprise his role as Apocalypse, Roxton Garcia will reprise his role as Thomas Spade, and Chris Bauer will reprise his role as Wild Bill Hancock.

According to Deadline, in addition to the returning main cast members, recurring performers Trey Tucker and Robby Ramos, who play Bobby Pin and Diego Cottonmouth, respectively, have been promoted to the regular cast. If that's the case, it's possible that we'll see more of them in the second season of “Heels.”

Heels Season 2

Given that CM Punk, who played Ricky Rabies in Season 1, has only recently returned to the ring after signing with All Elite Wrestling, as reported by Sports Illustrated, it's less certain that he'll be back in Season 2. In addition, we can probably expect to see some new characters enter the ring for the second season, albeit it is yet unknown who they might be.

The Plot of Heels Season 2

The first season of “Heels” came to a close with Crystal being crowned DWL champion and Ace and Jack feuding with each other. The relationship between Jack and Staci is also under peril. In this season, it appears that Staci will receive the majority of the attention, as will Jack's attempts to make apologies with both his brother and wife.

There has also been speculation over whether Ace will leave the DWL, even for a brief period of time, because the programme would be incomplete if he were not to compete in the division.

According to Deadline, the showrunner and executive producer Mike O'Malley will return for Season 2 of the show. Charlie Gully, the promoter for Florida Wrestling Dystopia, will also make an appearance in his capacity as a referee.

Michael Waldron, the series' original creator, writer, and executive producer, will also return to the series while continuing to work for Marvel Studios and LucasFilm, among other things.

When Will Heels Season 2 Come Out?

Deadline reports that production on Season 2 of “Heels” will not begin until sometime next year, so fans expecting for a late summer premiere like the first season may have to wait a little longer than they would have liked. Season 1 was mostly filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, with shooting initially beginning in February 2020 and concluding the following month due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the United States (via Bleeding Cool). Filming eventually started in September and didn't wrap up until April of the following year, according to Amell's Twitter account.

Heels Season 2

Even though Season 2 will most certainly not have as long of a filming period as Season 1 had, it will most likely not be done until late next year at the earliest, and there is a possibility that it will not be released until the spring of 2023. When it comes to prestige television shows, it's customary for each new season to premiere between the Emmy qualifying window of June 1 and May 31, thus the exact release date for Season 2 is still up in the air.
