Let’s Know What’s there in the Episodes

Episode 1
Joe Turner goes on a European tour, putting the events of the previous season behind him. Despite his uncle Bob Partridge’s attempts to contact him, he ignores them. When he eventually dials Partridge’s number, CIA deputy director Reuel Abbott answers the phone and informs him that Partridge has allegedly committed himself. Turner accepts the task with reluctance. Vasili Sirin, a CIA asset, is apprehended and returned to the United States.
Episode 2
Vasili Sirin is discovered to have been kidnapped by armed men dressed as paramedics, but he manages to flee. As CIA Deputy Director Reuel Abbott discloses to Director of National Intelligence Robin Larkin, the masked men were recruited by CIA Deputy Director Reuel Abbott to protect Sirin.
Joe Turner comes home after recovering from his hospital stint and lives with Mae Barber and her children. He goes to his uncle’s house and finds Gordon Piper’s files before being knocked out by an unknown intruder.
Episode 3
Turner tells Robin Larkin what he knows about Sirin and the mole, but his knowledge is limited. Turner accepts Larkin’s offer to investigate Gordon Piper, and Larkin subsequently sets up surveillance when Turner accepts the mission. Turner spends time with Mae and the Pipers, attends church, and assists at a children’s birthday celebration.
Episode 4
Sam Barber Jr. entices a SWAT unit to Reuel Abbott’s home by claiming Abbott was holding his wife hostage. Gordon Piper decides to take unconventional measures to obtain money he owes for a supper the family enjoyed before. Volk and Kat Gnezdy, unbeknownst to him, are sorting the money.
Episode 5
Turner rejoins Larkin in the monitoring and investigation of Gordon Piper, with the goal of determining if Piper was indeed framed. He based this on a photograph of Piper that Partridge had before Turner’s death. Despite this, Crane is confident that this is not the case. Kat Gnezdy transports Sirin to a different safe house, far away from her own.
Episode 6
Crane meets with Volk, who reveals that he is a double agent for him. Gordon Piper, who was just detained, is being questioned by Larkin. When Abbott comes and explains that Piper was a mole, the case takes a turn. Crane had flashbacks of when his wife left him and when he was quickly recruited by Volk while following Piper’s interrogation. Turner locates the ambulance used in Sirin’s kidnapping, which he discovers in a car rental company sells cars used at filming.
Episode 7
Volk and Sirin were formerly buddies, according to flashbacks. Following the events of the previous episode, Volk is discovered to have disguised himself as the FBI agent who saved Turner and implanted a tracker in him, which tracks him as he leaves the area. Volk was also seen following Turner to Union Station, where he met Kat Gnezdy. Turner is given an address where he may find Sirin. Gnezdy is picked up by Volk, who is unaware that she assisted Turner.
Episode 8
Volk’s reinforcements arrive, and drones and sniffer dogs begin searching the woodland. Turner and Sirin retreat to a river and eventually find their way to a hotel, where they will temporarily remain. Polina, Larkin’s inside SVR informant, begins to fear Volk and his henchmen are after her and sends out an SOS to Larkin. In an attempt to save Polina, she and Gnezdy are invited to lunch with Volk, where she is poisoned and dies in Gnezdy’s arms.
Episode 9
Piper is visited by his wife Eva, who urges him to keep fighting on the inside and threatens to sue the state if he doesn’t. The tale of Piper’s incarceration is leaked to the press by an unidentified source, prompting Larkin to wonder if Abbott is involved.
Mae Barber is successful in having her son freed from jail, and she visits Abbott at his house, demanding that the allegations against her be dropped. Abbott caves in and is compelled to tell Holly the truth, after which she abandons him.
