What Do You Know About Prince Harry?

He is a member of the Royal Family of the United Kingdom. He is the sixth in line of succession to the British throne, being the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales. Harry was born in London's St Mary's Hospital and attended Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College.

He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho before enrolling at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for officer training. He was commissioned as a cornet in the Blues and Royals, briefly serving with his brother William, and underwent troop commander training. He spent almost 10 weeks in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2007–2008. In 2012–2013, he returned to Afghanistan with the Army Air Corps for a 20-week tour. He resigned from the army in June 2015.

The couple were in talks with Jeffrey Katzenberg, the founder of the now-defunct streaming platform Quibi, in the summer of 2019, before announcing their decision to step back in January 2020, about a possible role in the service without gaining personal profit, but they ultimately decided against joining the project. The Duke and Duchess of York served as president and vice president of The Queen's Commonwealth Truss until February 2021.

The Queen bestowed the Dukedom of Sussex, as well as the titles of Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel, on the morning of his wedding. Following their decision to stand down from royal responsibilities, Buckingham Palace stated on January 18, 2020 that Harry and his wife will no longer wear their Royal Highness styles as of March 31, 2020, but that he would not be deprived of his style or titles as a British prince.

Prior to his marriage, Harry used the surname Wales for military purposes and was referred to as Captain Harry Wales in these situations.

Harry was knighted by his grandmother, the Queen, on June 4, 2015, as part of the 2015 Special Honours, for “services to the sovereign.”
