The fourth season of Harley Quinn is desperately needed on HBO Max right now. For the reason that holy cow, the last episode completely turned Gotham on its head. As if the outcomes of the mayoral elections weren't already startling enough.
We won't explain the upcoming events in full just yet because we have hidden spoilers underneath. It's safe to assume that our favorite characters will take on new jobs in the upcoming fourth season and that these new responsibilities will put their relationships to the test in interesting ways.
Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker's departure as showrunners for Harley Quinn season 4 adds extra complexity. Quite a few alterations, eh? So, let's start with the excellent news and work our way through the rest.
Is Season 4 of Harley Quinn Being Renewed?
HBO The recent cancellation of the Batgirl movie and the disappearance of scores of television series and motion pictures have made Max an unstable place. So, you were justified in worrying about the futures of any of your favorite characters.

Harley Quinn Season 4 Release Date: When Will It Air?
Here's some excellent news to kick things off: Patrick Schumacker(opens in new tab), the former showrunner and current executive producer of Harley Quinn, has teased that season four is “Coming sooner than you think.” This is probably due to the fact that there was a gap of nearly two years between seasons 2 (airing on April 3, 2020) and 3. (July 28, 2022).
Try drawing some positive conclusions from the first two seasons of Harley Quinn if you're in the mood for some optimism. On February 21, 2020, the first season concluded, less than two months before the second season's premiere. However, given that the second season was always planned to be a part of the initial order of 26 episodes, we highly doubt that such a little gap could ever occur again (opens in new tab).
Given this information, we at Tom's Guide predict that the premiere of Season 4 of Harley Quinn will occur within the next 12 months. Not as quick as the Season 2 delay, but also not as long as the Season 3 wait.

Story Hypotheses for Season 4 of “Harley Quinn”
From the Batman graphic novel White Knight, the season 3 finale of Harley Quinn had the newly elected Mayor Joker arresting Bruce Wayne for tax violation.
Since Harley Quinn decided to become a full-time member of the Bat Family and help battle crime in Gotham City, Batgirl found herself in charge of the city's heroes.
Since Lex Luthor has appointed Poison Ivy to head up a new Legion of Doom in Gotham City, this situation is destined to cause friction between Harley and Ivy.
The couple may have agreed to give each other space in the workplace, but Ivy's propensity to tread where Harley draws the line may cause friction.
Beyond that, it's probable that season 4 of Harley Quinn will delve into Clayface's newfound success as an actor (despite the world thinking he's Billy Bob Thornton) and Nanaue actually becoming King Shark after gaining the throne of his father's undersea empire.
Information on the Season 4 Cast and Crew of “Harley Quinn”
Sarah Peters, previously a consulting producer, will serve as executive producer and showrunner for season 4 of Harley Quinn, replacing Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker in those roles.

The show's animation department is also undergoing a transition, with supervising director Ceci Aranovich assuming the helm. Both Peters and Aranovich worked on the first three seasons of Harley Quinn, so this shouldn't cause any major changes.
