A Brief Plot of the Movie
In this film, the narrator tells the story of how Peter Quill, a human from Earth, becomes the main target of a manhunt led by the major villain Ronan, the Accuser, after stealing a mysterious orb in the vast reaches of outer space. Quill forms a team of space heroes known as the “Guardians of the Galaxy” to aid the humans in their fight against Ronan and his team and to save the galaxy from Ronan's dominance.

Production of Guardians of Galaxy
At the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige initially suggested Guardians of the Galaxy as a potential feature, saying, “There are also some lesser-known names, such as Guardians of the Galaxy. However, in the [comic] book, I believe they've lately been redesigned in an entertaining way.”
“There's an opportunity to do a great space epic, which Thor sort of hints at, in the cosmic side” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Feige said in a September 2011 issue of Entertainment Weekly. Feige says the picture will feature an ensemble cast, similar to X-Men and The Avengers if the picture is made.
Under the working title of Full Tilt, principal photography commenced in London, United Kingdom, on July 6, 2013. Shepperton and Longcross Studios were used for the filming.
Gunn and the ensemble of the picture travelled from London to San Diego Comic-Con International in July, when it was reported that Pace would portray Ronan the Accuser, Gillan would play Nebula, del Toro would play the Collector, and Djimon Hounsou would play Korath.
Nova Prime Irani Rael was later discovered to be Close. At San Diego Comic-Con, Feige also revealed that Thanos will play the role of “mastermind” in the film.
How Much Guardians of the Galaxy Earned?
Guardians of the Galaxy grossed $773.3 million globally, with $333.7 million in North America and a projected $439.6 million in other countries. After The Avengers and Iron Man 3, the film became the third-highest-grossing film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition, it was the highest-grossing superhero picture of 2014 (after Transformers: Age of Extinction and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) and the third-highest-grossing 2014 film (behind Transformers: Age of Extinction and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies).
