Drug Business
For decades, Blanco was a major figure in drug trafficking in the United States, Colombia, Miami, and New York. In the mid-1970s, Griselda and her second husband, Alberto Bravo, crossed the border into the United States on fake passports. After settling in Queens, New York, Blanco and more than 30 of her associates were arrested on drug conspiracy charges after starting a cocaine business there.
When she returned to Colombia, she was able to avoid capture and relocated to Miami, where her activities contributed to an atmosphere of lawlessness and corruption known as the Cocaine Cowboy Wars/Miami Drug War.

Personal Life
Carlos Trujillo was Griselda's first spouse (1960–69). Their three sons, Osvaldo, Uber, and Dixon, were all imprisoned in the US and died after being repatriated to Colombia; Blanco allegedly killed Trujillo in the 1970s. Alberto Bravo, her second husband, died in 1975 when Blanco questioned him about missing cartel funds.
Bravo and six bodyguards were killed in a gun duel in a Bogotá nightclub parking lot. Griselda moved to Miami after a minor gunshot wound. She married Daro Sepulveda and had a son, Michael Corleone before Daro departed for Colombia in 1983. When he and Blanco couldn't agree on custody, he abducted Michael, and Griselda had Sepulveda killed.
