Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 6 Recap & Review – How to Bury a Millionaire!

Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 6 Recap & Review: Our enjoyment of this week's “Gossip Girl” episode came as a complete shock. Even though the season's episodes haven't had much of a consistent plot so far, they're starting to get more enjoyable as of late.

The fifth episode of Season 2 of “Gossip Girl” made us worry about Zoya. Regarding Obie, we hazarded a few guesses as well. OK, so we nailed it on one front but fell short on another.

The rest of the characters are still involved in the chaos, and the way everything was woven together made us wonder why they hadn't done it sooner. While foolishness is still common, it now at least serves a function. Let's analyze episode six of season two of “Gossip Girl.”

Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

To begin the sixth episode, “How to Bury a Millionaire,” we see Max getting ready for his parents' renewal of vows ceremony, also known as their second wedding. Max assumes the responsibility of planning the entire event because he wants his parents to feel the same love they did when they first met.

And in the meantime, Julien is still seeing Graham behind his back. But when Julien presses Graham to come clean about their relationship, Graham demurs & requests privacy. While Jordan, Kate, & Wendy wait for Mike's next move, Audrey assists Max with the ceremony's preparations.

Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 6 Recap & Review

The teachers fear for their safety after Max revealed to his benefactor that Jordan is actually Gossip Girl, but so far they haven't experienced any unusual behavior. Jordan denies having feelings for Kate when Kate asks him directly if he does so that he can keep their secret identity as the Gossip Girl intact.

After the public exposure of her father's sexual assault case, Julien attends a party where she meets Monet & Luna & announces she has signed a brand deal. Luna, on the other hand, advises Julien to try & secure a promise from Graham. To expose his family's bribery in the Jakarta housing project, Obie uses his connections.

A partygoer, mistaking Zoya for Monet, is texting the latter when Zoya arrives. When Zoya finds out that the guy she had sex with, named Drew, recorded the encounter & gave copies to others, she is understandably disturbed. When Monet's friends start texting her about the sex tape, Zoya offers to make things right.

Kate is kidnapped in the middle of the night during a phone call with Jordan. A while later, Kate discovers that Serena van der Woodsen's & Dan Humphrey's friend, Georgina Sparks, has taken her hostage in her Brooklyn Heights apartment.

Mike's generous benefactor is revealed to be her. Because Georgina knows that Kate is the mastermind behind Gossip Girl, she orders her to disrupt the ceremony for the Wolfe family.

Due to a last-minute cancellation, Max has a hard time reserving a venue for the wedding. Luna believes her relationship with Graham is to blame for the sudden termination of Julien's brand deal.

Luna learns that Graham has been dishonest with Julien and that he has not divorced Ashley, who is pregnant. As Max and Audrey look for a wedding venue, Zoya dials Milo to have her sex tape removed from the web.

Kate's interference in the wedding causes Max to lose her cool. So that Milo can remove the sex tape, Zoya meets up with Drew and takes his phone. Milo, however, cannot locate the clip anywhere online.

This leads Zoya to confront Drew, who admits he removed the video once he realized his error. But Zoya leaves Drew because she is so dissatisfied with him. To expose Graham's lies, Julien has him attend the wedding & has hired Ashley to be Gideon's hairdresser. Despite Kate's best efforts, Gideon & Roy renew their vows, to which Georgina replies, “The teacher passed the test.”

Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 6 Review

The episode's antagonist, named Georgina, is presented here. She has an intriguing personality. Instead of trying to get people killed like most villains, Georgina thinks she can be the master of chaos by focusing on the little things and making a big impact.

Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 6 Recap & Review

The writers finally pulled off portraying Monet as a complex, multidimensional human being. She initially told Zoya to clean up after herself, but then enlisted her assistance. It's clear that Kate's future holds no promise. Unexpectedly, the writers were slowly but surely setting the stage for her downfall by establishing her tragic flaw.
