Gone In The Night Trailer Review: See Winona Ryder Solves a Mystery

Winona Ryder has been tasked with unraveling a fresh enigma. People have an exclusive first look at the eerie trailer for the new horror film Gone in the Night, which stars the Stranger Things actress, 50, alongside Dermot Mulroney, John Gallagher Jr., Brianne Tju, and Owen Teague. People also have a first peek at the film’s unsettling teaser.

“When Kath (Ryder) and her partner (Gallagher Jr., 38) arrive at a lonely cabin in the redwoods, they find a mysterious young couple (Teague, 23, and Tju, 24) already there – the rental has been double-booked” a line from the official synopsis reads. “The cabin has been double-booked.”

The summary continues by saying, “Since they had nowhere else to go, they decided to share the cabin with these strangers.”

The summary concludes by saying, “When her boyfriend suddenly vanishes with the young woman, Kath becomes obsessed and enlists an unusual supporter (Dermot Mulroney) to discover a reason for their sudden breakup— but the truth is far darker than she could have ever imagined.”

The trailer for the film, which is two minutes and 13 seconds long, provides a sneak peek at the perplexing mystery presented when Kath and Max (Gallagher Jr.) meet Teague and Tju’s characters at the cabin.

The trailer also includes an intriguing scene in which Max and Tju’s characters begin flirting. Even to the point of licking his elbow, she clings to him tenaciously as they vanish into thin air.

“Come on, are you not even a little bit curious?” In the preview, Kath’s friend poses the question to her. “Who exactly is this woman? What does he see in her?” The owner of Mulroney’s cabin seems to have offered his assistance to Kath in her search for the young woman, and everything appears to be leading back toward the place where all the characters were first introduced to one another.

It would appear that locked doors and blood draws through an IV are two parts of the solution to this perplexing problem. Kath’s final words in the teaser are a cryptic version of the phrase, “I thought he abandoned me.”

Eli Horowitz, who also collaborated with Matthew Derby on the film’s script, helms the production of Gone in the Night. Homecoming, a series that airs on Amazon Prime Video, was also co-created by Horowitz.
