Ghost in the Shell will be Getting a Compilation Film with New Scenes for Season 2

The Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045 compilation film, which is set to be released in 2021, will bring together the plot from the first season (all 12 episodes) as well as some fresh new sequences. The news was accompanied by a teaser graphic created by the show's character designer, Ilya Kuvshinov, as well as a few comments from the show's creators, Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki. Motoko (Atsuko Tanaka), the primary character, is depicted triumphantly, looking forward to her next assignment.

Kamiyama, who previously worked on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series, acknowledged that in order to guarantee a seamless plot, he altered a compilation version for his personal reasons when producing the programme. He has also hired a completely different team for editing and other visual works. As a result, even if they've seen the entire first season, he believes that viewers will be able to discover a “new perspective.” Aramaki (Starship Troopers: Invasion) confesses that he isn't as engaged with the compilation film as he was with season 1 and season 2. Still, he is forward to see what the new movie will bring to the table.
