Ghost is a Swedish rock band founded in 2006 in Linköping. Ghost has a passionate global fanbase thanks to its spectacular stage presence, haunting tunes, and enigmatic personality. The identity of the band members, masked under elaborate masks and robes, has been fundamental to their mystique. The globe just saw a seismic event in the music industry as Ghost's face reveal marked a new chapter in the band's history, leaving fans in amazement and astonishment.
Who Is Ghost Band?
Ghost is noted for its outlandish stage appearance. Seven of the group's eight members, dubbed “Nameless Ghouls,” dress in nearly identical, face-covering outfits. Prior to the band's 2017 lawsuit, lead singer Tobias Forge concealed his identity behind a series of characters with the title “Papa Emeritus.”
The figure, portrayed by Forge in a prosthetic mask and makeup, has been described as a “demonic anti-pope” and has gone through five incarnations: I, II, III, Nihil, and IV. Forge performed a persona known as “Cardinal Copia” for the band's 2018 album Prequelle and associated world concert tour A Pale Tour Named Death, who is said to be unrelated to the previous Papa Emeritus identities.
Copia wears either cardinal robes or a black or white tuxedo; he also wears a prosthetic mask with black eye makeup and multi-colored eyes, which are attributes shared by all Papa characters. Copia was upgraded to the title of “Papa Emeritus IV”[5] at the closing show of A Pale Tour Named Death in March 2020, a persona that Forge has continued to employ for the album Impera and its companion concert tour, Imperator.

Ghost Band Face Reveal
Prior to 2017, the members of Ghost had not publicly revealed their names, and the group's five instrumentalists were solely referred to as “Nameless Ghouls.” During signings, the Nameless Ghouls stamp their own alchemical symbol on the product, while Papa Emeritus signs with his stage name or the letters “P.E.”
Tobias Forge, frontman of Swedish bands Subvision and Repugnant and former guitarist for Crashdet (under the alias Mary Goore in the latter two), was alleged to be attributed with songs as “A Ghoul Writer” by the Swedish Performing Rights Society.

Martin Persner of the Swedish band Magna Carta Cartel said in a short video clip in March 2017 that he was the rhythm guitarist, also known as Omega, from 2009 to July 2016. This was the first time someone publicly identified themselves as a Ghost member. A few months before Persner's statement, the band hired a new bassist, who was later confirmed by Forge to be Led Zeppelin bassist Megan Thomas. A lawsuit filed against Forge in April 2017 on behalf of four former members disclosed their identities, as well as the identities of several more former members.
