For All Mankind Season 3: Release Date: Everything You Need to Know!

For All Mankind Season 3-Season three of For All Mankind has wrapped filming, which means we're one step closer to taking a giant leap into the future and landing on Mars!

Unfortunately, the second episode of the Apple TV Plus space drama ended with another jaw-dropping time jump at the end of an explosive attack that put the people of Earth and the Moon in peril.

Season 3 of For All Mankind will continue the epic story that began with a provocative premise: What if the Russians were the first to land on the Moon, ahead of the Americans?

The space race never ended, and the two Cold War adversaries intensified their competition to colonize the Moon… and beyond.

Season 3 picks up in 1995 when the first astronauts set foot on the Red Planet. As cast member Sonya Walger disclosed on Instagram, filming ended in September.

The Third Season of for All Mankind is Currently Under Production

Three seasons of For All Mankind began production in late February 2021. Krys Marshall (Danielle Poole) shared a photo of herself and Shantel VanSanten on the set, sitting in front of their trailer.

Season 3 of For All Mankind finished in September 2021. Sonya Walger commemorated the event with a photo on Instagram:

Season 3 Cast of for All Mankind

Season 3 will bring some changes to For All Mankind's large ensemble cast, albeit they'll be challenging to predict.

One thing is sure: Michael Dorman and Sarah Jones will never return after Gordo and Tracy Stevens gave their lives to preserve the Moon from nuclear destruction.

Other key cast members may return; however, their characters will be in their 40s or 50s, necessitating age cosmetics. Joel Kinnaman plays ed Baldwin, Shantel VanSanten plays Karen Baldwin, Jodi Balfour plays Ellen Wilson, and Wrenn Schmidt plays Margo Madison.

And, according to Sonya Walger's filming update, we know she'll be reprising her role as Molly Cobb, despite the character's early stages of glaucoma. Molly might be diagnosed with cancer in Season 3.

Coral Pea as Aleida Rosales, Casey W. Johnson as Danny Stevens, and Cynthy Wu as Kelly Baldwin are among the younger cast members who are expected to continue. Perhaps one of the latter two is the astronaut wearing the boots on Mars' surface.

Season 3 of for All Mankind Explains the Season 2 Finale

For All Mankind's season, the 2 finale is one of the most significant episodes of the year thus far. It's an action-packed, high-stakes, gut-punch finale that sees the deaths of two beloved characters and ushers in a brand-new tale for Season 3.

The struggle between the Americans and the Russians reaches a breaking point in the finale, both on Earth and the Moon. The Marines confront the Russian cosmonauts in a shootout at the Jamestown facility, perhaps causing a nuclear reactor meltdown.

Gordo (Michael Dorman) and Tracy (Sarah Jones) must solve the problem to save everyone on the base and prevent the Moon from becoming uninhabitable for millions of years.

They wrap themselves in duct tape and sprint into the hostile climate of the lunar surface. They succeed, but their lives are lost in the process. In one other's arms, they die like heroes.

Meanwhile, in lunar orbit, Ed (Joel Kinnaman) battles Sally (Ellen Wroe) over the destruction of a Russian spacecraft.

Danielle (Krys Marshall), in orbit around Earth aboard Apollo, defies instructions and docks with the Soyuz. President Ronald Reagan was inspired to make peace with the Russians when her handshake with an astronaut was beamed worldwide.

Margo (Wrenn Schmidt) receives a call from her Soviet colleague Sergei after the Stevenses' sad funerals. But it turns out he's collaborating with intelligence officers to transform Margo into a valuable tool for their cause!

The camera then pans to Mars, where a pair of boots crunch on the red dirt. The year is 1995.

What's on the horizon for TV and streaming? There's so much sweetness here! Stranger Things season 4, Yellowstone season 5, The Umbrella Academy season 3, HBO's The Last of Us adaption, and the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon are all expected to premiere this year.
