Spoilers for Fate: The Winx Saga are underneath.
Fate: The Winx Saga's first season has it everything.
The YA series, which was based on the Nickelodeon Winx Club cartoon series from the 1990s, served up a heaping dose of ancient magic, teen turmoil, and creepy crawlies.
It was a huge hit right away, which was fantastic for the actors and staff.
“It's incredible to watch people respond so positively to something you put so much effort into and is just a project that you care deeply about. It's a nerve-wracking experience before it comes out, but once it does, and you get this type of response, it's a fantastic feeling “Abigail Cowan, the actress, said Buzzfeed.
When will the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga air?
Despite the show's success, Netflix did not immediately sign off on the second season, instead of waiting a month or two before revealing the news.
It would have been terrible to terminate the amazing trip early because there were so many loose ends and cliffhangers after the season.
Season two has officially been announced, and there's more good news on the way. Two extra one-hour episodes will be added to the second season, according to Variety. The supernatural coming-of-age series' showrunner and executive producer will be Brian Young (creator of The Vampire Diaries).
“Season one's six episodes hardly scraped the surface of this tremendously fascinating realm and its strong fairies. I can't wait for you to hear more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa as Bloom's narrative progresses! And you never know who could turn up next semester at Alfea “In a statement, Young added.
“The live-action adaptation of Winx interacts with people in the same way as the animated version does,” said Iginio Straffi, the original cartoon's creator. “We've watched Winx evolve into a global phenomenon over the years, with millions of fans tuning in every week.”
Season one premiered in January, and we expect Netflix will keep to the same release schedule that has been so successful, with season two following suit in 2022.
Who's in the cast of Fate: The Winx Saga season 2?
Rosalind shattered Farah's neck, and it was game over for Farah (Eve Best) (Lesley Sharp). Everyone thinks the former headmistress is on a sabbatical in the mountains but, in reality, she's pushing daisies.
But, given that this is a programme where anything can happen, we wouldn't rule out Farah appearing again in the future.
Rosalind, on the other hand, is still alive and well, so she'll be back, along with Bloom (Abigail Cowen from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), Musa (Elisha Applebaum), Terra (Eliot Salt), Stella (Hannah van der Westhuizen), Sky (Danny Griffin), Riven (Freddie Thorp), Beatrix (Sadie Coverall), Silva (Rob James-
What will happen in season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga?
Over Alfea College, a heavy cloud has descended.
After killing Farah, Rosalind, who was freed by Bloom after taking advantage of the student's ignorance, is now in power. And, to his son Sky's surprise, Silva has been arrested for the attempted murder of Andreas, who is still alive after surviving the fight of Aster Dell (where he was purportedly killed 16 years earlier).
Rosalind now has the upper hand, believing that the faculty, and hence the students, would follow suit.
You don't have to be in the writers' room to figure out that Alfea's version of Dumbledore's Army will be attempting to rectify some significant wrongs in season two.
According to Rosalind, war is also on the horizon, with The Burned Ones pale in comparison to what comes next. But what would it include in detail? And who will emerge victoriously?
What we do know is that Bloom and her fairy magic will play a crucial role.
Rosalind, we learnt, was the one who let The Burned Ones over the barrier and onto the college grounds.
Bloom's abilities were put to the test to determine if they could manage the threat, and they did. Rosalind successfully transformed into a full fairy, sprouting wings and accessing ancient magic thought to be lost – an exciting development for Bloom, but it also means that, like the blood witches who abducted Cowen's character previously, Rosalind will be more determined than ever to regain control of her powers.
Will she, however, be successful?
“I'd want to see the girls reclaim their authority in general. Maybe even band together to defeat a single force or object. I'm looking forward to seeing Bloom and Sky's relationship develop and grow. I'm hoping that Bloom, in particular, undergoes a more significant metamorphosis in terms of her self-esteem and confidence. I'd want to see her own it and start acting like a badass. Flora” Cowan told Buzzfeed about it.
When will the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga be released?
If the programme does resume in January 2022, the first footage should be available by the end of this year. Keep this page saved since we'll add it to this feature as soon as it appears.
