Later, Elvis Presley's biographer Peter Guralnick said that “drug use was heavily involved” in his death. Two months later, lab tests showed that the main reason for death was taking too many pills.

One person said that Elvis had “14 drugs in his system, 10 of them in significant amounts.”Michael Baden, who is a forensic historian and pathologist, later said: “Elvis's heart was too big for a long time. This, along with his drug use, is what killed him. But he was hard to figure out; it was a matter of judgment.”
