The penultimate episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show filming left Jennifer Aniston struggling to maintain composure.

According to Aniston, 53, exclusively spoke to PEOPLE, “It was so oddly sad.” “I must admit that because I performed the concert at the start of the year and was so emotional at the time, I sort of thought, “I can't do that on the last show.” I'm about to lose it completely.”

Aniston, the Chief Creative Officer at Vital Proteins, made numerous appearances on the show throughout its 19-season run.
