According to a statement released by developer EA Sports on Tuesday, the PGA Tour game will be delayed by a full year.
The relaunch of the professional golf simulation franchise will take place in the spring of 2023, rather than the previous fall.
It was first revealed in March of 2021 and given a release date of spring of 2022 two months later as a result of this.
Although it was originally intended to be released in early 2022, EA Sports PGA Tour's official Twitter page announced that it will now be released in spring 2023 instead.

Neither the reason for the delay nor the game's platforms were given in a press release from Electronic Arts on Tuesday.
For the first time since 2013, EA Sports PGA Tour will appear in a video game before or around the time of the Masters' Tournament in 2023, presumably to attract interest in that event and Augusta National Golf Club. The Masters usually take place in the first full week of April each year.
Gameplay
According to a press release on Tuesday, this will be the only golf video game to feature all four major tournamentsāthe Masters; U.S. Open; BDO; PGA; and WGC-Bridgestone Invitationalāas well as TPC Sawgrass Players Championship, FedEx Cup season-ending playoffs, and Evian Championship of the LPGA and Ladies Europe Tour.
Additionally, the career mode will include the Korn Ferry Tour, an instructional circuit for aspiring professional golfers.
When Rory McIlroy's PGA Tour was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, it was the publisher's first simulation golf game since.
EA's Frostbite technology was used for the first time in this game. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 capped a three-year video game run for Augusta National that had been immensely popular.
Tiger Woods had been the face of EA's golf series for years before the company shifted to Rory McIlroy for its 2015 release, which means the new game will bring the franchise back to life after an eight-year break when it launches in 2019.
