The long-awaited release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human has finally arrived. Having been in development for years and being one of the most requested games on Steam since it was announced, Techland's follow-up to open-world zombie stomper Dying Light has finally been released.
After the zombie apocalypse, you play as Aiden, an earnest loner who wanders the world between ruined cities after the original game's conclusion 30 years earlier. Having traveled to the city of Villedor in search of his sister, Mia, whom he hasn't seen since they were children, Aiden is hopeful that he will be able to locate her. A city full of zombies, several warring factions of humans, and a shadowy figure named Waltz stand in his way as he searches for his long-lost sister in this dystopian future.

What is Dying Light 2's release date?
Dying Light 2 is scheduled to be released on February 4, 2022. Because it was a global launch, some parts of the world experienced its launch in the afternoon or evening of February 3, while others did not.

The release came after a series of setbacks. Dying Light 2 was originally scheduled to be released in spring 2020, according to the Microsoft E3 2019 conference. Techland announced the first of these delays in January 2020. Techland did not provide a new release date, instead simply stating that the game would be released before the end of the year. After some time, the date was changed to reflect the final release date of the film. A Day One patch was also included with the launch, which contained over a thousand bug fixes.

What is the plot?
Dying Light 2 is set in the fictional city of Villedor, which serves as a new setting for the story, and it introduces a new, grizzled hero who is central to the conflict. To find his sister Mia, Aiden Caldwell travels to Villedor as a “pilgrim,” a dangerous outsider who is perceived as a threat by the few remaining safe zones in the world. Aiden Caldwell and his sister Mia haven't seen each other since they were both children years ago. Using hazy flashbacks that aren't clear enough for even Aiden to rely on, the story of Aiden and Mia is delivered in a shoddy manner early and frequently.
It appears that simply informing players that Aiden and Mia are siblings is intended to pique their interest in their hoped-for reunion, but Techland fails to demonstrate why anyone should be invested in Mia other than through their familial connection. Aiden uses her as a living Macguffin to justify his video-gamey exploits as a side-questing superstar who can leap tall buildings in a single bound. She is transformed into a living MacGuffin.
