The cast was officially unveiled by season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall on December 9, 2020, after the season's first teaser trailer was unintentionally released the day before. In addition, the teaser suggested that the season's debut would feature six “Lip-Sync for Your Life” clashes in a Lip-Sync Extravaganza, as well as a new socially distanced stage and werkroom design. Since the show's inception in 2009, Gottmik has been the show's first openly transgender male and assigned female at birth contestant.

What is there in the Episodes?
Episode 1
After entering the workroom in groups of two and one group of three, the thirteen new queens compete in Lip Sync For Your Life fights. The losers get “the Pork Chop,” while the winners get to stay. When RuPaul tells the seven losing queens that they have a chance to return to the competition, they gather in the “Porkchop Loading Dock.” To do so, they must perform “The Chop” on one of their other queens.
Episode 2
The Porkchop Loading Dock's seven queens must choose a participant to vote off. Elliott with 2 Ts and Utica Queen were tied after all seven votes were cast. Elliott with two Ts was voted off after a second round of voting by the participants.
Episode 3
In the first episode, the participants who failed to lip sync enter the work room. The participants had to show off two runway-ready looks in the categories of Lady and Vamp for the mini challenge. The major task required the participants to create and perform creative lyrics to RuPaul's “Phenomenon.”
Episode 4
The losing queens from Episode 1 enter the workroom, where they meet the other contenders. The queens must act in cheesy holiday movies for this week's main challenge. Misery Loves Company stars Denali, Elliott with two Ts, Kahmora Hall, and Olivia Lux. God Loves Flags features LaLa Ri, Rosé, Symone, and Utica Queen. The last group includes Gottmik, Joey Jay, Kandy Muse, Tamisha Iman, and Tina Burner, who star in the film April Fool's Rush In. The participants recorded their movies with Ross Matthews as director after learning their scripts.
Episode 5
For the mini challenge, the queens dress up as babies and go into drag. The winner is LaLa Ri, and RuPaul explains that the major competition for this week is the Bag Ball, in which the queens must compete in three categories: mixed bag, money bags, and making a look out of bags for Bag Ball Eleganza.
Episode 6
The queens form teams to construct a dress out of wallpaper in this episode's minor challenge. The mini challenge's victors are Elliott with 2 Ts and Tamisha Iman, according to RuPaul. For this week's primary challenge, the teams remain the same.
Episode 7
The queens were required to read each other in this week's little challenge, which was won by Gottmik. This week's main challenge was to improvise in a revival of Bossy Rossy, a talk programme. Each team had its own portion on the show, and the entrants were divided into teams.
Episode 8
The queens' major task this week was to participate in Social Media: The Unverified Rusical. Denali and Rosé had to audition in front of the rest of the actors for the role of Foxy, which was eventually handed to Rosé.
Episode 9
The participants must audition for a new band called Pantyhoes in rapid drag, utilising panties from Snag Tights, in this week's short challenge. Tina Burner takes home a $2,500 cash prize for winning the mini challenge.
