Dr. Stone Season 3 Release Date Officially Confirmed In 2023!

Stone Wars may have finished in 2021, but Dr. Stone Season 3 is just on the corner. We're eagerly awaiting the announcement of a release date for Dr. Stone Season 3 now that the trailer has been out.

Riichiro Inagaki wrote the script, and Boichi drew the illustrations for Dr. Stone's manga. There are presently 21 volumes of the series published by Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, which began serialization in 2017.

In 2019, an anime version of Dr. Stone was released, with the first season consisting of 24 episodes. The series was so well received that it was revived for a second season under the working title ‘Dr. Stone: Stone Wars.' In addition to the 8.2/10 on IMDb, 8.33/10 on MyAnimeList, and 4.7/5 on Crunchyroll.

The fact that the show's material is scientifically accurate is another reason for its popularity. Dr. Stone Season 3's official trailer was published on March 25, 2021, following the completion of Season 2, and it's already garnered a lot of attention.

Having seen the trailer for Dr. Stone Season 3, we're here to tell you about the new season!

The Plot of Dr. Stone Season 3

A total of 24 episodes aired during the first season, but only 11 episodes aired during the second season, Stone Wars. Approximately half of Volume 8 is covered by these two seasons, which brings the Stone Wars to a close while also hinting at the larger story arc that spans the Age of Exploration, The Treasure Island, and the start of Senku's maritime adventures.

Senku's Kingdom of Science and the Tsukasa Empire merged at the end of Season 2. To investigate the petrification that halted the planet 3700 years ago and was caused by Tsukasa's threat, Senku goes off on his own.

It's safe to assume that the third season of Dr. Stone will be called after the season's three major themes: Age of Exploration, Treasure Island, and Sea Exploration, even though no official title has been announced.

To get his voyaging plan in motion, Senku needs a ship and someone competent in managing them. Sea trips require food that can be stored for a lengthy period. As soon as Senku brings Ryusui Nanami out of hibernation, he immediately discovers a means to rake in money. Draco, a new form of cash, has begun to circulate.

Senku deciphers a radio transmission as preparations for the event get underway. A creature known as the Whyman, who may have been responsible for the petrification of the earth 3700 years ago, has sent a message that asks, “why?”

Release Date of Dr. Stone Season 3

Seasons 1 and 2 of Dr. Stone were released two years apart. When will Dr. Stone Season 3 be released, given that Season 3 has already been announced? We do, however, have a few hypotheses.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2, Tokyo Revengers Season 1, and Attack on Titan Final Season all had 10- or 13-episode runs, according to TMS Entertainment. There were 24 episodes in Season 1 and just 11 in Season 2. Season 3 is believed to be a 25-episode split-currency release.

Even in the event of a split-curriculum release, it is unlikely that there will be a 2021 slate. In the next several years, the Dr. Stone manga will likewise end. At this moment, it appears that the manga will conclude between 2022 and 2023. The anime is a long cry from the real thing. There are two arcs in Season 3 of the Petrification Saga: Age of Exploration and Treasure Island.

According to rumors, Dr. Stone 3 might debut as early as the Winter 2023 anime calendar in January 2023. Though the wait will be at least a year, there is good news for the franchise's fans. Dr. Stone Season 3 will premiere in 2023, according to a teaser video shown during the Japan JumpFesta event.

Summer 2022 will see the release of a new Dr. Stone OVA episode that will tie into the upcoming Season 3 episodes in 2023. Ryusui Nanami, a new character, will be introduced in this episode, which is named ‘TVSP Ryusui.'

Dr. Stone 3's Ryusui will be voiced by Ryota Suzuki, well known for his roles as Yu Ishigami in Kaguya-Sama and Arai in Boruto. Although no official release date for Japan or the rest of the world has been announced, the Crunchyroll simulcast of Dr. Stone's OVA will be available soon.
