The first season of the Hulu show Dollface came out in November 2019. They played WandaVision. Kat Dennings played Jules Wiley, who just broke up with her long-term partner (Connor Hines). Recovering from the breakup, Jules has to get back into the world of women. She has to go back to the women she used to be friends with. There are three people in Jules' group who are in the show: Shay Mitchell, Brenda Song, and Esther Povitsky.
The show has been getting mixed to good reviews, with the cast getting most of the positive attention. Dressed as a doll, “Dollface” shows us again why Dennings' “droll comedic persona” is the “steady core” of a project like this. The New York Times says Mitchell's performance is “a treat and a half.”
It was announced early last year that Dollface was going to be back for a second season. Fans were very happy about it (via TV Line). Here's what we know so far about the next season.
What will Dollface Season 2 be About?
Until a premiere date is set and announced, we don't know much about how season 2 will be different from season 1.
The first season saw Jules have a hard time getting back in touch with her friends, whom she neglected while she was with Jeremy and who are angry about it now. The friends help each other when they get back together. One storyline shows Jules's friends encouraging her to move on from Jeremy by having a casual relationship with someone else, which she does.
The two have a brief fling, but it doesn't last long. Her friends, on the other hand, have their own love stories, like Madison dating an older doctor, Colin (Goran Visnjic), who is married to Jules' boss.
Jeremy asks Jules to get back together with him, but she says no. Jules then tells everyone at the wedding that Colin is cheating on his wife. Besides that, Stella tells us that she got into business school in Philadelphia. It ends with Jules and three of her friends taking Ramona's wedding car so they can drive back to California at the same time.
Even though some storylines were definitely wrapped up in this finale, there is still a lot of ground to cover in a second season. There are some things Jules doesn't want to do with Jeremy. She might move to Philadelphia, but I'm not sure. Is Madison's affair with Colin over? There is a lot of room for the study of these old friendships to grow even more, as well. For now, we'll have to wait to learn more about season 2.
Who Will be in the Second Season of Doll Face?
In the past, there haven't been any official announcements about any big changes to the cast, either people leaving or joining. You can pretty much be sure that Kat Dennings will be back to play her lead role in the TV show. Without her, the show wouldn't work. And the other main actors are also very likely to return.
In this movie, Brenda Song plays Jules' best friend from college, Madison. After Jules breaks up with her boyfriend, she meets up with Madison. Shay Mitchell plays Stella, a close friend of Jules and Madison's from college. She also meets up with Jules after a break in their friendship, and they fall in love all over again. Esther Povitsky, who plays Izzy, is the last member of the main cast. Izzy is a friend Jules made at work.
As the CEO of the company Jules works for, Malin kerman will be back. Brianne Howey and Vella Lovell, who play two of Jules' coworkers, are also likely to be back. Another possibility is that Jules's ex-boyfriend, Connor Hines, could show up on screen in the second season. His part in the first season was so important to the story.

When did Filming on Dollface Season 2 Begin?
Dollface, like many TV shows during the pandemic era, had to be put on hold because of COVID-19. Finally, filming is said to have begun in July 2021 and finished in October. Brenda Song, who plays Madison Maxwell, shared a picture of herself and the rest of the cast on Instagram to celebrate the end of filming. “I truly don't know what I would have done without you guys… I'm so grateful.” I love you all so much that it's hard to believe.
