Disney Plus is a fantastic streaming platform that features a plethora of material from Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, National Geographic, and Marvel Studios. It's easy to get lost in its catalog and spend hours watching movies and TV episodes.
Unfortunately, Disney Plus wasn't flawless when it first launched, as it lacked many key features. Some included the ability to pause, resume, and continue viewing content.
You've come to the right place if you're wondering how to watch an episode or a movie from the beginning on Disney Plus. We've added the missing choices and will show you how to use them.
Convenience of Streaming
People are often pampered by the different great streaming providers and the quality standards that have been established. Of course, we're referring to services like Netflix and Hulu. These streaming services have gradually improved over time.
Disney Plus is a new service that debuted on November 12, 2019. Although it is not currently available internationally, the service provides a large volume of high-quality content at a low cost.
Other minor issues with Disney Plus included the lack of functionality, such as continuing or restarting your content, autoplay, and the option to pick up where you left off. For example, if you watched an episode of The Mandalorian and fell asleep halfway through, you couldn't resume where you left off.
Fortunately, Disney has listened to customer comments and decided to add all of the missing functions. They should be available on all platforms, or at least most of them.

Even before people protested, Disney intended to implement these features. Regarding available features, it appears that Disney Plus was introduced gradually.
How to Keep Watching Disney Plus
You can pick up where you left off in a movie or TV show. You may effortlessly pick up where you left off with Disney Plus's Continue Watching feature. It's as simple as this:
1. Sign in to your Disney Plus account on a compatible device. You can access the official website, the Apple or Android app, or both. Check to see if the app is up to date.
2. After you've launched the site or app, go to your home screen and look for the Continue Watching list.
3. Select the chosen episode or movie and press the Play button.
How to Begin Watching Something on Disney Plus
On Disney Plus, you may also rewatch an episode of a show or an entire movie. To play something from the start on Disney Plus, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Disney website or download the app to your device.
2. Use the search function to find the show or movie you want to watch from the start. Alternatively, scroll down to the ‘Continue Watching' area and hover over the content you want to see. Then, press the I button.
3. Select the Restart option next to the show.
Now that Disney has finally integrated the new Restart feature, it's a piece of cake. Remember to search for the show rather than through the ‘Continue Watching' area.
If you do the latter, the show will automatically restart where you left off, and the option to ‘Restart' will be removed. You can then choose to Resume a show or movie where you left off or even Add it to your Watchlist, so you don't forget about it.

Autoplay has also been included, which is useful when viewing a TV show. The next episode will begin automatically, but you can stop it anytime.
What Should You Do if Restart Doesn't Appear?
Although Disney Plus officially implemented the restart function, it did not show on the browser or mobile app versions of the service during our tests in March 2021. Even if the ‘Restart' option is not visible, you can easily restart your favorite episodes and movies.
If the ‘Restart' button does not appear next to the ‘Resume' option, perform the following actions:
1. Under the ‘Continue Watching' heading, tap or click on the show you want to watch.
2. Drag the bottom slider bar to the top.
Your show will restart automatically, and you won't have to use the rewind button hundreds of times to rewatch things.
