It's true that Clueless is a classic from the '90s, but that hasn't stopped it from being a hilarious and entertaining watch for viewers of all ages. Cher, an affluent, self-absorbed but good-hearted Beverly Hills youngster, strives to “better” the lives of everyone around her in this bright teen comedy loosely based on Jane Austen's famous novel Emma.

10. Raising the bar
The protagonist of Raising the Bar is Kelly, a talented gymnast who is abandoned by her teammates, coach, and even her own father after she suffers an injury. Kelly and her mother relocate to Australia since her parents are on the verge of divorcing and she can't take the shame any longer.
Kelly moves to Australia with her family and immediately begins coaching her best friend Nicola, who is on the gymnastics team at her new high school. Kelly keeps on coaching Nicole and helping her win the competition while receiving ongoing backlash on social media for her “loss” in the United States. “Raising the Bar” is a standard “phoenix from the ashes” tale set against the backdrop of an intensely competitive sport.
9. Jawbreaker
When the Reagan High School socialites accidentally killed their best friend, Liz (Charlotte Ayanna), on the morning of her birthday, they plotted to keep the fact hidden. Courtney (Rose McGowan), Julie (Rebecca Gayheart), and Marcie (Julie Benz) groom nerdy reject Fern Mayo (Judy Greer) to take Liz's place. But, as Detective Vera Cruz begins an inquiry, the girl's scheme begins to unravel at an alarming rate.
8. Do Revenge
Do Revenge, the newest addition to this list and a film that pays homage to Clueless in a lot of ways hits all the right points in terms of providing a contemporary, near-perfect adolescent flick.
Drea & Eleanor, played by Camila Mendes & Maya Hawke, are two girls who couldn't be more different from one another, but they form an alliance to eliminate their mutual enemies so that none of them will be suspected of any wrongdoing. The amusing storyline and strong acting from the film's two leading ladies earned Do Revenge rave ratings from critics.
7. What a Girl Wants
The 2003 adolescent comedy What a Girl Wants follows Daphne Reynolds, a seventeen-year-old whose father, a wealthy politician, has no idea she exists, and her journey to London to find him. To get close to him, she must act like a member of London's upper class and leave a good impression. Amanda Bynes plays Daphne, while Colin Firth is Henry Dashwood, Daphne's father in the film.
6. Bring it on
Kristen Dunst plays Torrance Shipman, the cheerleading squad's captain who must coax the greatest performance from her team in order to win competitions, in Peyton Reed's ebullient teen sports drama. Despite its cliche plot and some narrative wandering, Dunst is a perfect fit for the role, and she infuses it with the necessary enthusiasm, vibrancy, and charm to make for an enjoyable viewing experience.
5. Emma
It was this novel that provided the inspiration for the movie Clueless, as has already been mentioned. Yet, in 1996, a film titled Emma starring Gwyneth Paltrow was released, so it was probably smart for the Clueless creators to avoid relying too heavily on the source material. In 2020, a new Emma premiered, should you choose to see it for the sake of comparison.
4. Fast Times At Ridgemont High
Looking at Jeff Spicoli, it's hard not to see a resemblance to Travis, played by Breckin Meyer, in Clueless. Both films were directed by Amy Heckerling, so there's an obvious link there. Like Fast Times at Ridgemont High, this film follows a group of teenagers as they deal with romance and after-school employment while in high school.
3. Can’t Hardly Wait
There are still many humorous moments in the underappreciated comedy Can't Hardly Wait. Preston Meyer (Ethan Embry), who is completely smitten with Amanda Beckett, is a likable protagonist (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt). There's a good chance that the Clueless high school seniors' spectacular graduation bash would resemble the one in Can't Hardly Wait if we ever got to witness it.
2. Never Been Kissed
This so-called “teen movie” fails to live up to its genre. Drew Barrymore plays the lead role of Josie Geller, a young journalist in her twenties. For her investigational research, she poses as a high school student. Because of this, she changes drastically.
When it comes to coming of age, Never Been Kissed is set in the adult world. Although she was never a popular student at her own high school, Josie suddenly finds herself at the center of attention as she plays an undercover role. That the most popular guy at school asked her to the dance as a result. Josie has a crush on one of her professors, and he has no idea about it.
1. 10 Things I Hate About You
This film, starring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger, is similar to Clueless because it is also a loose adaptation of a piece of literature. It was originally intended that Clueless would resemble Jane Austen's Emma. Similar to William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, but with more humor, 10 Things I Hate About You is a delightful comedy.
