Diablo 4 - What Is The Status of The Sequel?

By way of comparison, Blizzard announced Diablo 3 in 2008, and as we all know, it wasn't until May of 2012 that the game was finally launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

This does not definitely imply that Diablo 4 will be released in 2023, but it does provide some context.
