Dexter New Blood is a Showtime crime drama mystery miniseries that was created by the original series showrunner Clyde Phillips and directed by Marcos Siega. It is a continuation of the series Dexter, which premiered on Showtime in 2007. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter reprise their roles as Dexter Morgan and Debra Morgan, respectively, with the addition of Jack Alcott, Julia Jones, Johnny Sequoyah, Alano Miller, and Clancy Brown to their ensemble. There are ten years between the events of the original series finale “Remember the Monsters?” from 2013 and the events of the new series finale. It will premiere on Showtime on November 7, 2021, at 9 p.m. ET.
Following are spoilers for Dexter: New Blood.
According to the old adage, when one door closes, another one opens. However, Dexter: New Blood, on the other hand, appears to have taken this to heart as well.
For ten years, the serial killer with a conscience was under the impression that he had gotten away with his crimes. Even living in the idyllic hamlet of Iron Lake couldn't keep the Dark Passenger from haunting him at all times.
It appears that the show's fate is sealed for the time being; however, Dexter has shown himself to be a survivor on several occasions, and he may now return in another form.

When will Dexter New Blood Season 2 premiere?
In the season finale, it appeared that the answer was “no,” as Dexter – also known as Jim Lindsay – died shortly after his backstory was revealed.
Yes, following a confrontation with his son, Harrison, the character played by Michael C Hall, who will be remembered for his performance, has passed away.
After the unhappily married couple bonded over their shared dark side and need to kill (“born in blood,” as Dexter would say), Harrison turned a gun on his father when he failed to follow his own rules about who should and shouldn't live.
Without a doubt, the net was closing in around Dexter, with Miami Metro's Angel finally discovering that his old blood-spatter analyst pal was alive and well and that he was most likely the mystery Bay Harbour Butcher.
Despite the death of the main character, the show's producers have already confirmed that it will return for a second season. While it has not yet been given official approval, the following section contains information on what it would contain.
What will be the cast?
New Blood will shift its focus away from Dexter and toward his son Harrison, who will be played by Jack Alcott if season two is greenlit (though, as we've already stated, no official announcements have yet been made).
In the previous episode, we saw the serial killer's teenage son, who was on the run after having killed his father. Once Harrison was discovered with the body, police chief Angela Bishop (Julia Jones) accepted responsibility for Dexter's death, allowing him to begin a new life free of the guilt over his father's murder.
Although the location of Harrison's journey, what he will do with the lessons he has learned from his father's moral killer code, and who will join the cast are all unknown at this time. We are not aware of any living relatives who are related to him. He had complete freedom to go wherever he wanted to go.
Dexter's biological mother passed away during season four of the original Dexter. It was discovered that Hannah, Dexter's girlfriend who left with Harrison for a better life in the season 8 finale, died of cancer off-screen between the original series and New Blood, which aired between the original series and New Blood. In fact, it's the only reason Harrison even bothered to go looking for Dexter in the first place.
Isn't his father also no longer alive? It appears that the sky is literally the limit for this severely traumatized adolescent.
The plot of Dexter New Blood season 2
All that is needed now is for Showtime in the United States to give them the green light for a second season, which Clyde Phillips, the showrunner, has stated he is open to.
It was clarified by him in an interview with Deadline that this would imply that Harrison would continue to portray the main character.
According to the author, “Harrison is such a complex individual, and he carries the seeds of the dark passenger within him.” “He's an intelligent and capable individual. At the end of the episode, watch Harrison's takedown of Dexter. He knows he has to kill this man.”
As Phillips continues, “Harrison offers a different point of view on the vigilantism of it all than Dexter did, which Dexter found a little surprising at first.” He says, as if he and his father are Batman and Robin, ‘Think of how many lives we're saving every time we take out one of these terrible men.' He goes on to say, as if he and his father are Batman and Robin, ‘Think of how many lives we're saving every time we take out one of these bad guys.'
“It was something Dexter had never considered before. Dexter was simply carrying out his code of conduct by killing evildoers.”
Is there a trailer?
Unfortunately, because season two has not yet been confirmed, it is unlikely that we will see a teaser or any new footage for anything in the immediate future.
Continue to check back in, and we'll notify you if any new information becomes available.
