Tyler Tice and Shay Hatten, the writer of Netflix's Army of the Dead, collaborated on the screenplay. Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) will take a significant role in Day Shift.
With his bike stunt and martial arts experience, filmmaker Perry is sure to provide an action-packed film with practical effects, despite this being his first time in the director's chair.
Production will be overseen by Chad Stahelski (John Wick), who has already collaborated with Perry on multiple occasions, with Jamie Foxx and Peter Baxter serving as executive producers.
There will be many “eating popcorn moments,” as Foxx explains in the teaser trailer, where the audience can't turn away from the screen while eating their favorite movie snacks.
In this action-comedy thriller, J. J. Perry is putting a unique spin on conventional vampire mythology. Day Shift, available on Netflix in August 2022, will be covered in detail in this post.
What Exactly Is the Day Shift About?
Jamie Foxx plays the role of a father who lives in the San Fernando Valley and works as a pool cleaner to provide a good life for his daughter, who is 8 years old. At the very least, that is how it appears to be on the surface.
In actuality, he kills vampires for a living and utilizes the profession of cleaning swimming pools as a front for his true source of money. He is essentially compensated to hunt down vampires and only receives payment after delivering their fangs to the buyer.

The movie Day Shift is scheduled to be released on August 12 12, 2022. Once it has been officially released, Netflix will be the only place where you can view this movie.

Who is Will Be Playing Roles on the Day Shift?
Although it has already been revealed that Jamie Foxx will be playing the major part in this movie, the rest of the ensemble is certainly not one to be sneezed at. Paige, Foxx's quick-witted daughter, will be portrayed by Zion Broadnax (Abbott Elementary), who will take on that part. Even though Steve Howey (Shameless) is mentioned as a member of the cast, we do not yet know his character's name or his function in the film. This is the case with all of the other important characters as well.
In addition to the infamous Snoop Dogg, the cast list for the unnamed characters also includes Dave Franco (The Now), Meagan Good (Shazam!), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs), and C. S. Lee (Dexter). There are two more cast members whose filmographies are more aligned with the director, J. J. Perry's history, in addition to the members of the ensemble that are more instantly identifiable.
Tetiana Gaidar, who will play Sophia in the upcoming episode of Day Shift, previously worked as the Tactical Weapons Trainer for the television series Resident Evil and Hunters, in addition to the film Borderlands, which was based on the first-person looter/shooter video game of the same name. Scott Adkins will also be a part of Day Shift with Gaidar when it premieres.
