David Koechner Early Life

David Michael Koechner was born on August 24th, 1962, in Tipton, Missouri, and is an American actor and writer. A devout Catholic, he was raised in a family of seven children by his mother Margaret Ann, and father Cecil.

David's father was a manufacturer of poultry coops. Graduated high school and went to Benedictine College, then transferred to the University of Missouri to study political science.

A few years later, he decided to focus on improv comedy and went to Chicago, studying under Del Close at ImprovOlympic and performing with The Second City.
