“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” came out on Netflix on September 13, 2022, and was almost an instant hit with anime and cyberpunk fans because of its story, its faithfulness to the world set up in the main “Cyberpunk” videogame, and its fast-paced action, which has become a trademark of the famous Japanese animation studio Studio Trigger.
After losing everything he cared about, the main character, David Martinez, becomes an Edgerunner/Cyberpunk. He finds a new family and purpose among a ragtag group of cyber mercenaries, learning from each of them and helping them do jobs all over the technological metropolis of Night City.
Has “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” Season 2 Been Announced?
At the moment, neither Studio Trigger nor Netflix has confirmed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: Season 2 is in the works, and it doesn't look like there are any plans for a continuation to come out soon either.
The official Twitter account for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and the game have both thanked fans for the great response, so it wouldn't be a surprise if a second season was announced, even though nothing is set in stone.

What is the Story of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2?
Almost everyone had tears by the end of Season 1 of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The deaths of Maine and Dorio were already horrible, but when Adam Smasher killed Rebecca and David, it was the last straw for fans who wanted a happy ending.
Only Lucy and Falco could get away, so they were the only ones left from the cast. When Lucy finally gets to the Moon, the prequel is over, and the game's events start to happen.
If Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: Season 2 happens, it will probably be about a different group of Edgerunners. And when it takes place, it could either happen after the Cyberpunk 2077 game or be a story that happens simultaneously as David or V's.
Which Production Company is Working on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2?
Studio Trigger made the first season, and because of all the good things people have said about the anime since it came out, we expect the same team to make Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: Season 2. Most of the story was produced by CD Projekt Red, with Bartosz Sztybor in charge of the plot.

Trigger helped make the characters, especially Rebecca, since it turned out that CDPR didn't want to include her at first. Trigger's choices paid off in a big way, and fans of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: Season 2 couldn't be happier if they did make a second season.
Where Will Season 2 of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Be Shown?
The anime is one of the exclusive shows that can only be seen on Netflix's streaming service. There don't seem to be any plans for the anime to come to Crunchyroll or other platforms.
If Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: Season 2 does happen, you'll only be able to stream it with a Netflix subscription. Edgerunners has been moving up the charts at a crazy fast rate, and it doesn't look like it will stop any time soon.
