Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming out very soon. Today, Netflix said that the anime spinoff would be available to stream on September 13. There will be 10 episodes, and each will be 30 minutes long. Along with the news, the company also released a new “NSFW” trailer before the show's premiere next month.
Edgerunners has been under development for a while. It was first announced in 2020, right before Cyberpunk 2077 came out. The launch didn't go as planned, but the game did become a hit in the end.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners will look differently at life in Night City than Cyberpunk 2077 did. Trigger and CD Projekt Red are trying to show their world differently than we saw in the video game. In this anime, we will see a more social side of the city.
Action, blood, and adrenaline will always be at their peak, backed up by “cyberpunk” music, but the main focus is on something else. The show will look at what it means for people to accept and wear all of the cyber war they often have to live in this strange society.
The game is a lot like real life. Well, it sounds as natural as cyberpunk work could be to us. Things are turned up to “eleven” in the anime, which shows Night City with even more blood and color.
The creators of the anime say that the visuals are “bombastic,” and I agree with them after seeing the trailer and the BTS video several times.

A scene from Episode 4 where we meet the Maelstrom Gang of Night City was shown in the Behind-the-Scenes video. The way the gang members' bodies have been heavily changed is established, and the overall feeling is very close to what we get when we play the game and meet the gang members there.
In Edgerunners, the colors are moved around even more. That doesn't change the fact that they are still cruel, unforgiving, and… literally crazy. The part of the game where we went to the gang's base was terrifying.
And what we saw of the gang in the anime in the preview clip wasn't very different. Yes, there are more colors, and it looks a little more “childish,” but when the blood starts to flow and the guns start to scream, we know this is Malestrom!
