Crysis 4 is coming, according to developer Crytek, who confirmed the news on Wednesday. Crytek's CEO, Avni Yerli, stated that the next game in the sci-fi first-person shooter franchise is “in the early phases of development, so it will be a while yet.”
Crytek also published a brief teaser trailer to coincide with the announcement, which did not include any gameplay footage. Crytek, a game developer located in Frankfurt, Germany, has described the next Crysis as “a truly next-gen shooter,” and it appears that the company will directly involve its user base in the development of Crysis 4 in the near future.
“Crytek has a long and illustrious history of collaborating with our community to create the games that people want to play,” Yerli stated.
