Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit Story
Introducing Milda, the game's protagonist, in a new story trailer that goes into not only her compelling personal background but also the rich history of the devs' home nation of Lithuania and its significance to the European Union as a whole.
Due to the fact that she was born to Lithuanian-American parents, Milda travels to Lithuania to visit her grandfather shortly after the country regained its freedom.
Milda and her mother returned to America after spending the summer at her grandfather's house, with her father staying for a little longer with the promise that he'll return shortly after. Despite this, he never did.
Milda's Lithuanian ancestors had been forgotten until she received a tragic letter. It comprises a letter sent by Milda's late grandfather to her. Milda has been given a memo stating that she is now the family's secret keeper.
Milda is drawn back to Lithuania by a tantalizing secret, which sets off an exciting investigation across Europe that will see you becoming embroiled in a hunt for a lost relic, delving into the lives of historical figures such as revered Lithuanian leader Vytautas the Great, and uncovering the murky past of the KGB's clandestine activities during Soviet occupation.
Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit is currently available as part of Steam's Next Fest, which runs from February 21st to February 28th.
The demo allows players to take a quick trip into the enticing world of this delightful adventure and get a taste of the mysteries you will be investigating and the secrets you will uncover when you take on the role of Milda in the full game.
