Chicken Run 2 will be available on Netflix next year, and we've got a first look image to celebrate.
The sequel to the Aardman classic was confirmed in 2018, and Aardman's partnership with Netflix for the sequel was announced in 2020. It took another two years for us to learn more about the film, but it was well worth the wait.
Aardman released narrative elements and cast members for the long-awaited Chicken Run sequel, officially titled Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, on January 20, 2022.

When can we expect Chicken Run 2: Dawn of the Nugget to be released?
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget will be released on Netflix in 2023, according to Aardman, although no exact date has been announced.
It was announced in 2020 that development on the sequel will begin in 2021, so we can only presume that occurred given Aardman's confidence in announcing its release next year.

According to RadioTimes.com, the sequel will have a limited theatrical release alongside its Netflix release in 2020, so you might be able to watch it on the big screen when it comes out.
However, there has been no formal comment on the subject.
Who will reprise their roles in Chicken Run 2: Dawn of the Nugget?
While several of the original cast members return for the sequel, there have been some significant changes behind the scenes.
Rocky and Ginger will be voiced by Zachary Levi and Thandiwe Newton in Chicken Run 2, replacing Mel Gibson and Julia Sawalha, respectively. Although no formal justification for the recasting has been given, Sawalha issued her comment in 2020.
“I've been officially plucked, stuffed, and roasted,” she tweeted, saying that she was recast because she “sounds too old.”

In the sequel, Ginger and Rocky's family has grown to include a small daughter named Molly, who is voiced by Bella Ramsey.
Jane Horrocks, Imelda Staunton, and Lynn Ferguson will reprise their roles as Babs, Bunty, and Mac in the sequel. Fowler's original voice actor, Benjamin Whitrow, died in 2017, and the sequel's Fowler will be played by David Bradley.
Romesh Ranganathan and Daniel Mays have replaced Timothy Spall and Phil Daniels as the cunning rodents Nick and Fetcher, respectively.
In the sequel, we'll meet several new characters, including Frizzle (Josie Sedgwick-Davies) and Dr Fry (Nick Mohammed).
However, we haven't gotten any further information on their characters yet.

Is there any new footage from Chicken Run 2: Dawn of the Nugget?
Although filming has begun, we expect it to be some time before we see any footage from the film because stop-motion animation is a time-consuming process.
