It's possible that we'll see it in 2023 at the earliest. The exact date of release is still up in the air, but we'll let you know as soon as we have more information.
What is the cast?
It is important to note that, despite the fact that several original cast members are returning for the sequel, there have been some significant changes to the production.
As a result of Mel Gibson and Julia Sawalha's departure, Zach Levi and Thandiwe Newton will be providing the voices of Rocky and Ginger in Chicken Run 2. When Sawalha released a statement in 2020, it explained why the parts had been recast.
According to her in an open letter, she was recast because her voice “sounded too old.”
Molly, the new addition to Ginger and Rocky's family, is voiced by Bella Ramsey in the sequel. Molly is played by Bella Ramsey.
Babs, Bunty, and Mac will all be reprised by Jane Horrocks, Imelda Staunton, and Lynn Ferguson, respectively, in the sequel to the hit film. Given that Fowler's original voice actor, Benjamin Whitrow, passed away last year, David Bradley will be reprising his role in the film's sequel.
In this reboot, Romesh Ranganathan and Daniel Mays take over for Timothy Spall and Phil Daniels, who previously played the sly rodents Nick and Fetcher in the original series.
In addition, Josie Sedgwick-Davies will reprise her role as Frizzle, and Nick Mohammed will reprise his role as Dr. Fry in the sequel.
However, we have not been provided with any additional information regarding their personal characteristics or personalities.
Chicken Run 2 Plot
An official synopsis for the second film, which will be based on the first, was released in conjunction with the streaming service's announcement.
According to the book, “After pulling off a life-threatening escape from Tweedy's farm, Ginger has finally discovered her ideal — a calm island haven for the entire flock, far away from the dangers of the human world,” according to the description.
Ginger's happily ever after appears to have been completed with the birth of Molly. In order to survive on the mainland, the entire chicken species must now defend itself against a new and terrifying adversary.
‘This time around, Ginger and her team are breaking in, even if it means jeopardizing their own hard-won independence.'

Final Words
An announcement by Aardman about a partnership with Netflix for the sequel was made on the twentieth anniversary of the original film; however, China will be excluded from a global release of the sequel through the streaming giant.
“Fans all over the world have been patiently waiting for a sequel idea worthy of Chicken Run, and we're delighted to announce, on the 20th anniversary of the film, that we've discovered the appropriate tale,” said Peter Lord, co-founder and creative director of Aardman Animation.
We believe Netflix is the ideal creative partner for this project because they respect the filmmaker and allow us to pour our hearts and souls into this film and share it with a global audience.”
The sequel to Chicken Run, which was released in 2000, will be released. According to RadioTimes.com, a limited theatrical release will take place in conjunction with the Netflix release. Perhaps you'll be able to see the sequel if it is released on the big screen in the near future.
