What Was Carol Sutton's Cause of Death?
Carol died of Covid on December 10, 2020, just a few days after her 76th birthday. The late star's death was confirmed by the mayor of New Orleans, LaToya Cantrell. She put out a statement that said, “Carol Sutton was almost the Queen of New Orleans theatre. She had been performing on stages all over the city for decades.”
“Everyone may know her from her roles in movies and TV shows like Treme, Claws, Runaway Jury, and Queen Sugar, but we will never forget her commanding stage presence, the depth of her characters, and the warm heart she shared with her fellow actors and crew in plays like 4000 Miles and A Raisin in the Sun.

LaToya added, “May she rest in the peace that only God can give.” Ava DuVernay, who made Queen Sugar's show, gave Carol an award. Carol was also on the show.
