When he formed Santana, he helped popularise the Latin-fusion style of music that combines rock, salsa, and jazz in the late 60s and early 70s. While the Santana Blues Band was formed in 1966.

In addition to a home theatre and gaming area, the house included state-of-the-art temperature control, security, and comfort technologies. Located on Bear's Best Golf Club, the mansion costs $6 million, making it the most expensive per-square-foot home purchase in Las Vegas in the preceding few years, according to a 2013 study.

An idyllic Kauai estate purchased for $2.7 million was purchased by Carlos in May of this year. Exactly one year later, he shelled out $8 million on a second Kauai property.
Carlos spent $20.5 million for a third Kauai house in June 2021. He sold his $8 million Kauai property a year earlier for $3 million more than he paid for it when he bought it for $13 million around the time of this transaction. For $11.9 million in March 2022, Carlos sold this second Kauai mansion to another buyer.
