Since Judd Apatow joined the production team in 2019, Billy Eichner's groundbreaking romantic comedy has been making news. However, “Bros” production was understandably delayed by the epidemic.
As the first openly homosexual guy to co-write and star in a big studio picture, Eichner's “Bros” will also mark the debut of an all-openly LGBTQ+ primary cast in a major studio picture. Here's everything you need to know about Billy Eichner's “Bros” as 2022 and the new releases that come with it draw nearer and nearer.

What is Bros About?
Since we last discussed the movie in March, no new story details have been published, but “According to the official synopsis, “Bros” is “a clever, swoony and poignant comedy about two homosexual men who may, may not, or may not stumble into love. Maybe. Both of them are highly busy.” Eichner discussed the movie in the following way in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
I am beyond thrilled about the groundbreaking nature of the entire openly LGBTQ+ ensemble of “Bros.”
It is a long-overdue dream come true to put together this incredible, hilarious cast after queer actors have spent decades watching straight actors profit both artistically and professionally by playing LGBTQ+ characters. While “Bros” may be the first of its kind in several ways, my real hope is that it is just the first of many chances for openly LGBTQ+ ensembles to shine and show the world all we are capable of as actors, beyond just being the way. Beyond all of that, you will enjoy this cast because they are hilarious.
Eichner's movie is a crucial step toward advancement because LGBTQ+ inclusion in the studio system has a less-than-stellar reputation.
Bros Movie Cast
Luke Macfarlane will portray Eichner's love interest (“Brothers & Sisters”). Ts Madison (“Zola,” “The Ts Madison Experience”), Miss Lawrence (“The United States vs. Billie Holiday”), Symone (“RuPaul's Drag Race”), Guillermo Diaz (“Scandal,” “Weeds,” “Half Baked”), and comedian Guy Branum, who previously contributed to Eichner's “Billy on the Street,” are also joining the cast.
The principal character, Bobby Leiber, is a self-reliant podcaster who works with the National Museum of LGBTQ+ Culture and History. Billy Eichner, the first out gay man to co-write and appear in a major studio picture, plays Bobby Leiber.
Bobby lacks tolerance for others and their drama through his sarcastic remarks and dramatic eye rolls. Bobby thinks he is self-sufficient, but that is about to change as his desire for another causes him to learn how to rely on others around him.
Bobby's romantic interest, Aaron, is played by Luke Macfarlane. Bobby recognizes Aaron from across a packed room one fateful night in a classic unrealistic comedy fashion. Bobby needs someone to push him beyond his comfort zone and motivate him to become a better man, and Aaron is ready with witty responses to his snide remarks.
