Early life
Beckham, the son of David Beckham and Victoria (whose maiden name was Adams), was delivered to the Portland Hospital in London. It is often believed that the reason he was given the name Brooklyn was due to the fact that he was conceived in the borough of Brooklyn in the city of New York.
However, as stated in the autobiography that his mother wrote in 2001 titled Learning to Fly, she and her husband chose the name because they liked it.
