Kano's team, representing Kirigasaki Academy, defeated their counterparts from Eimei High School. When Kano leaves the stadium, she's met by Yumeka, who wants to know how she got there.
Kano explains that she received the tickets from a first-year student on the boys' badminton team. Yumeka congratulates Kano on his victory and says she's sorry for her earlier comments.
After telling Yumeka that all she wanted was to play more basketball with her, Kano starts crying and apologizes for not being more upfront about her desires. When Yumeka confronts Kano about her tears, she, too, begins to cry.
Meanwhile, at Taiki's place, there is a Christmas party in full swing. Ayame has transformed into Santa Claus and can be seen handing out treats to children while they genuflect before her.
Taiki arrives, lost in thought, wondering how Kano's match went even though he has no idea what the score is. Ayame has already left with the girls for Karaoke. Taiki tries to get away from his friends on Christmas Eve, but they grab him and take him for a strength training session.
