BLACKPINK The Movie a Girl’s Band Changing the World’s Music

Are you a BLINK? Have you heard the song ‘Ddu-du Ddu-du’? If not, you have missed something huge. I am referring to the BLACKPINK: a girl's band changing the world's music. This upcoming movie “BLACKPINK The Movie” will take all k-pop fans into the nostalgia of all the times they groove to its songs. Now not just in concerts, but the theatres will also echo with sounds of ‘Hit you with that ddu ddu du‘.

What BLACKPINK has to Offer ?

Five years ago, the all-girls group BLACKPINK arrived on the music landscape and took the world by storm. With the very first hit song, ‘Whistle', K-pop's then-latest rookies had already begun casting a spell which has had an effect on audiences up till today. With an ever-expanding fanbase (known as the BLINK) and concerts all around the world BLACKPINK has been keeping the world mesmerized with its charms.

After their rapid ascent to becoming the world’s biggest girl group, the four members – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – couldn't spare much time to look back on their journey. BLACKPINK: The Movie is the golden opportunity for both the band and their fans to dive into a reminiscence of all the good times.

This movie will take you to the journey of BLACKPINK originating from ashes to the sphinx of success, With all their interviews, behind the scenes footage and concert vlogs.

Though if I were, to be honest, the movie rushes fairly quickly through the five years of their lives and seldom focuses on very few key moments of their career. The amount of backstage footage is quite limited. If you want more in-depth footage and want to have a closer peek into their lives, I recommend you watch Netflix's documentary- BLACKPINK: Light up the sky.

But I am sure that the movie is a first-hand ambassador for music. The movie is one great concert, a celebration of five years worth of music production by the band. You will get to live the ambience of the party. The movie has songs ranging from the ‘Ddu-du Ddu-du’ to ‘Kill This Love’. Unfortunately, some of the biggest hits from ‘The Show’ couldn't make it to the movie – including Jisoo and Lisa’s solo stages, Tove Lo and Doja Cat, as they would require permission from those artists to be used.

Audiences reception

The star-studded movie has been receiving a positive response from worldwide audiences.
