Zoe Kravitz told GQ in November 2022 that she doesn't think there will be a third season of Big Little Lies. This is because the show's director, Jean-Marc Vallée, died in December 2021.
“I don't think it is,” she said at first. “We talked a lot about making a third season, but our amazing director, Jean-Marc Vallée, died last year, which is very sad, and I can't imagine going on without him. He was the one who came up with the idea for that show. So, it's too bad, but it's over.”
Nicole Kidman, who plays the main character, has talked about a possible third season with SiriusXM radio host Andy Cohen, and she sounded like she would be up for it. Nicole was asked on the Radio Andy show, “If you could do a sequel to something you've already done or play a character you've already played, is there one that you think has more story to tell?”

Nicole quickly brought up the HBO show, saying, “I think we'd all love to do a third season of Big Little Lies, you know?” When asked if there might be a third season, she said, “I don't know,” but added that nothing has been confirmed. Here's hoping that S3 will be coming out very soon!
What Can We Expect From Big Little Lies Season 3?
