Beyond Good and Evil 2 may be one of the most eagerly anticipated games out there – since its announcement in 2017, we've seen a number of fantastic videos and gameplay updates, but there have been few and far between specifics about the game's eventual release date.
However, here is what we do know about this ambitious open-world space voyage at this time…
When will Beyond Good and Evil 2 release?
As of right now, there is no set release date or anticipated release timeframe for Beyond Good and Evil 2.
However, based on the numerous Ubisoft announcements, the game appears to be well into production, making a 2020 release not out of the question.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 has not been officially confirmed on any platforms as of this writing. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are the most likely choices, with a PC, Nintendo Switch, or next-generation console release also being considered.
What's Beyond Good and Evil 2 about?
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a prequel to the 2003 film of the same name. It is said to follow Dakini as she searches for an artifact known as Moksha's Gate while also fighting against System 3's enslavement of human-animal hybrids.
The game will be a third-person action-adventure game set in an open environment with the ability for players to explore the galaxy, and it will feature both single-player and multiplayer gameplay modes.
From as far back as 2007, there has been speculation about a Beyond Good and Evil sequel being in development, although no official announcement of the game has yet been made.
Fan feedback has been solicited through blogs and live streams, and the game's makers have even enabled fans to submit their own artwork for consideration for inclusion in the game.
